every step we take
is toward or away
from our Living Water
our magnificent Creator
when we sin
our heart becomes heavy
like in the beginning
before we accepted Christ as King
any sin
is abomination
to Him
we can hide
we can justify in pride
we can run
to another town
like Jonah
or we can seek His holy face
knowing our place
at His feet
as tears of guilt meet
His toes
we pour the woes
we ask for His help
His power to engulf
our dirty souls
that we may follow Him wherever He goes
that our hearts be rekindled
in Christ’s love, unbridled
