Taste and Know

Thank-full
Of Him
Yes
I taste
His presence
As if in remembrance
When His body became bread
When His blood ran red

In the cup
To
Give us the new
Covenant
What a moment
To share
With the Lamb who bared
Heaven
So that we could be face to face
As we beckoned
Our teacher
Our rabbi
Our priest on High
After He ascended
Body mended
The promised gift
Holy Spirit
Entered in
Came upon
We became one
With He who is Word and flesh
Our living Hope, our victory to the life that is next

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! For this reason, Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance – now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. (Hebrews 9:14-15).

Thank you for joining me here. This poem is born out of study of the Lord’s Supper in a class I am taking. It is such wonderful hope to know Jesus took care of the sacrifice required by God for our sinfulness.

I pray you know Jesus loves you and died to save you.

If you have questions about Jesus, email me at juliedibblespeaks@gmail.com.

Love in Christ,

Julie
