I am Praying for You, A Poem

She lifts her head

Then bows it instead

Her heart sings

Glory, glory to my Beloved King

Her lips tremble

In her hope she resembles

Christ, the Morningstar

Our Risen Messiah

Lord,  she whispers,

Bless my brothers. Bless my sisters.

Lord, her voice rises,

Keep them from the evil one and his devices

Lord, she is bold,

Please, Lord, let Your mercy rain, just as You promise, just as Your faithfulness is told

crosswater

Her heart cries

The Lord hears her sighs

For it is true ~

God sees me. God sees you.

Until we see each other, until we hug each other again,

I am praying like Elijah prayed for the rain

The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He will fill Zion with His justice and righteousness.

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge, the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure (Isaiah 33:5-6).

Dear Readers,

I am thankful you stopped by. This is your friendly reminder of heaven’s ways:

  1. Trust God with your whole heart. In that trust, it helps me to say, “Yes, Lord”
  2.  Remember the blessings He has already poured out upon you and your loved ones.
  3.  Seek only Jesus, who IS our way, who IS the truth, who IS our life (i.e. limit or completely stop watching news, politics and scrolling Facebook). God is in control, and we may lose His protection if we try to take control of things ourselves.

I pray God brings His message far and wide. Please share this post with your church family, your neighbors, your loved ones.

When we are limited to what we can do face-to-face with each other, we need to be intentional about checking in, encouraging others, and praying.

Be strong in the Lord, not in yourselves.

Love in Christ,
