Secret sin

When does it begin?

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13).

At age 10

when you sneak a porn mag?

For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world (1 John 2:16).

At single and 20

when you sleep with many?

At 30

and your hands are dirty

with the blood of another

or because you stole from your brother

You shall not steal (Exodus 20:15).

 

Unconfessed secret sin

is the beginning of your end

He knows all your heart

What could you gain by keeping sin a secret part?

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy (Proverbs 28:13).

 

Jesus draws a line

Obey my teachings and love each other divinely

If you love me, keep my commands (John 14:15).

 

For I AM the vine

You who are Mine

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5).

 

are never in shame

or condemned in vain

Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2).

 

We are one

I AM the Risen Son

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).

 

Confess today

Whatever it is you have held at bay

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).

 

Be cleansed with My forgiveness

Of all unrighteousness

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

 

The road is narrow and long

you may hear whispers that you don’t belong

because of your sin …

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

 

That is not My voice you are hearing

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created (James 1:18).

Sin is in you

Allow me to live there too

For it is by My blood,

the blood of the lamb

that we will be together again ~

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

Thank you for joining the journey to the Cross. I am trying to alternate where I make posts, here and http://www.juliedibblewrites.wordpress.com. However, I have been under stress these past few days and am just sitting down to hear His voice. This poem was born.
