Hope for the Suffering

The bit-ter

In winter

Is back

Nipping at noses

Freezing garden hoses

We were tricked into Spring

Thinking it was time to begin

Planting

Romancing

Coming alive

With color and surprise

Though our Lord

Says, never wait to afford

LOVING

It is freely given

New and fresh each morning

His Light is forever shining

Let us not waste away, pining

For warm weather

Or “better” activities together

Look into your husband’s eyes

Tell him of your heart’s size

When you think of him

Take your wife by the hand

Not a moment’s hesitation … it doesn’t have to be planned

Be specific about showing this love

The love we come to know as the reason He laid down His life for us

Let us walk to Calvary

Remember His suffering

Seek Him for help

To grow compassion for all, even those focused on themselves

Spring awaits

His divine timing … always perfect … never late

This lesson is lingering

… simply remembering

~

Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy (John 16:20).

I am humbled to get low as I pray. I am humbled to remember what Christ did for me. Ash Wednesday to the Crucifixion is 40 days. I am not sure what it looks like yet, but God is leading me to write for the remainder of the 40 days. Not sure whether they will all be poems. The other place I blog is juliedibblewrites.wordpress.com, if you are interested to see where God takes me. I sure am!

If you have time, I would love to hear how God is leading you this season. I am fully aware not all Jesus followers participate in Ashes and Lent. Let’s journey together to the Cross and make it all about Him.

Feel free to leave a comment here or email me at juliedibblespeaks@gmail.com.

Have a blessed evening!

In Christ,

Julie
