Children of Light

Arise, dear ones

Search the skies

For heaven is our earthly guide

Shed any darkness within and out

Clothe yourself with Christ to be about

Your Father’s business

Loving, offering forgiveness

feasting

Taking a seat at His table

Feasting with all because in Him you are able

Whispering prayers

As if breathing air

Don’t stop there

Drop to your knees in His house of prayer

Trusting He sees and knows

With arms always open for you, for me, for prodigals … as His parable goes

This given day

Seize it! Don’t hide on the fray

Be bold in Him

Lay aside pride and sin

For we are children of light

A glorious aroma pleasing to His Spirit in His sight

“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now that when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Let us behave decently, as in daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh” (Romans 13:11-14).

Happy Sunday, dear friends,

I pray these words lift and guide you to the holiness of God. We know we are not perfect, but the more we read His truth, the more we pray, the more we connect with others who love Him, we grow AWAY from our flesh and into His Spirit.
