“Because she loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue her. I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name. She will call on me, and I will answer her. I will be with her in times of trouble. I will deliver her and honor her. With long life, I will satisfy her and show her my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16).
A loss
Pain grows like moss
Wetness
Dampness
Shroud in tears
Joy hides
Our Lord ever abides
Quiet
Sustenance
Bread nourishes
Faith flourishes
Revival begins
Beneath the bone and skin
Heart open
Aching
Breaking
Inviting Him in
Being
With He
Is enough for me

Rescue. Been meditating on His rescue. If we are truthful, we need His rescue every day … from ourselves, from worldly temptations and foes, from burdens we carry.
A loss can be a dead weight or something once had and now gone.
A loss can be collective or dust in one’s lonely soul.
As you read the Scripture above, you will notice I changed the he to she. Often I will do this or place my name right in the verse or passage. God wants us to draw near, He wants us to sense His forever closeness.
How have you been rescued by Jesus? How do you draw near to Him?
