The Wait

Fall is brewing
Leaves spewing
Brittle remnants of the past

Love thrives in bold color
Beneath the valor
Lies death

Slowly taking
Breath forsaken
Shadows beckon

Wait …

Is that all we get to do is wait?

Waiting

Is hope

Waiting

Precedes every resurrection

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him;

it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord (Lamentations 3:25-26).

Sometimes all we can do in a season is wait. We wait for test results, we wait for medicine to prove effective, we wait to get paid, we wait and wait and wait.

When we turn our eyes to Him in the wait, our hope grows. We remember He has plans we have not yet seen. We remember He is working for the good of us, not to harm us but to prosper us.

May you know the light of Jesus in and out of your wait.

All photos in this post are mine from my walk earlier.

In Christ,

Julie

      1. Will do. We are having a few days away on the coast in Spring so I’ll get a variety of photos for sure. I’m also hoping to go to the Tulip Festival in Canberra but that will depend on accommodation. Canberra is so beautiful in September.

  1. I love your beautiful poem and photos today, Julie. Yes, there is such hope in the waiting when we are waiting with God. Thank you for the precious reminder. Love you and praying for you and your dear husband this week too. Thank him for all he does for the community!
