Bird sounds are story
News of the hours coming forth
Rhythms, schisms
Songs of belonging
Sailing
From tree tops to bus stops
Some so sweet
Their honey-dipped tweets
Others with purpose
Repeating
As their tiny hearts beat
A message burning their beaks
They have no choice but to speak
Together in nature
This flying body of Christ
Rejoices
A symphony of bird voices
Rising from earth
Pure Hallelujahs
Celebrating this given day’s birth

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophesies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears (1 Corinthians 13:6-10).

Perhaps you needed this reminder today. Love never fails, that is His love for us. His powerful, cleansing, life-giving love never fails. We only get a glimpse as I did when I sat on my porch in the early morning listening to His birds. Just a glimpse. What I heard was glorious but nothing compared to the glory upon the return of Jesus.
I pray you seek Him today for whatever it is you need. I pray for all of us to raise a Hallelujah, broken or whole.

So very beautiful, Dear Julie! The Lord used the sweet birds to speak a message of grace to my own soul and gave a poem & post today too. He had us both listening to His lovely birds of the air! Love & Hugs Dear Friend.

Thank you my sister. Only God! We both wrote about birds. I believe He connects us supernaturally and we are not always aware of such connection. Love and hugs right back to you, Bettie.

Oh Julie, what a wonderful poem to capture the song of the birds! I love when I take the time to pause and hear their choruses! How can we help but sing in our hearts with them? May we bring our hallelujahs – as you say broken or whole. Thank you for helping me celebrate this new day! Blessings and love to you! xo

Beautiful post, Julie! Sitting on the deck listening to the birds sing is my favorite way to start the day. It does seem as though they are raising a Hallelujah to the start of a new day! And their friends, with their hearts also full, cannot help but reply. What a wonderful example they set for us. Thank you for this image, Julie! Hallelujah! 🙂
