His powerful light blazes
Dripping
Pouring
Sloshing
Puddles the day after a snow?
His plan, His way
We are rarely in the know
I wonder if there will ever be
Another Isaiah or Jeremiah
Such long books in the Bible
Such good listeners to God
Did He just give them discernment
Or was it just a matter of their listening?
When their ears heard, their hearts opened
To receive all He gave, even if it was not what they hoped
How often do we shut God out?
I mean intentionally
A thought arrives
You know its not yours
But without a voice
Without a visit
Without His hovering Spirit
Without a justifiable, visible miracle
We consider the thought spam
Or worse, sacrifice it like a baby lamb
“I lay it down Lord
Cuz no can do
Maybe you give me something else
Where I am more comfy, more ready, more able”
Oh, we all have dared this road
Self-pity tells us it is overload
Somehow we trust Our Father will listen
Deep down we know we are mistaken
His sanctuary rides above the clouds
Somewhere shroud in holy
Let’s tune in, focus on what He is speaking, where He puts His glory
Who but He knows the rest of His story?
Maybe God will raise up a new prophet
One who is true, not for self-profit
To prepare His people
For the evil schemes increasing soon
Under an unannounced blood moon …

“No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your young men will see visions,
Your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days
and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'” (Acts 2:16-21).

It is with great joy I share this poem. I almost forgot I wrote it with Jesus. Found it in my notes.
May these words bless and encourage you today.

Amen, He is coming soon! And He is calling us to listen and open our hearts so much in these last days. May I let Him pour Himself more, and soften my stony edges too.
