Though her branch is bare
She reaches and finds Him there
Stretched far
His light touches
Twinkles as if a star
She feels His warmth
Sink to the end of every root
His presence
Internally blesses
His angels of protection
Serenade each morning
Feast and new life coming
His children who walk below
Mostly pass her by
But some look up, bidding her and Him hello
When one season ends, another begins
No break in between; He builds rest in
Tis’ quiet now, except for birdsong
Here she collects strength
Accepts His grace
For the coming of Spring
Her bloom, the bees, the rain
The buzz of activity
Leading to eternity

The end of a matter is better than its beginning,
and patience is better than pride.
Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit,
for anger resides in the lap of fools.
Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is wise to ask such questions.
Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing
and benefits those who see the sun.
Wisdom is a shelter
as money is a shelter,
but the advantage of knowledge is this:
Wisdom preserves those who have it (Ecclesiastes 7:8-12).

Dear Julie,
This poem is so beautiful and it all speaks to me so deeply! But I think this part especially is what leads my heart to look for wisdom:
“Tis’ quiet now, except for birdsong
Here she collects strength
Accepts His grace
For the coming of Spring”
Accepting the grace He offers involves a laying down of my own ways, and giving full reverence to HIS ways. I think your words here point so well to “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” May I trust Him more, to see that He does move the seasons along, and gives us such good gifts from His hand. Love & Blessings to you!

I love this Julie! What a great analogy. There really is a LOT we can learn from God’s creation if we take the time to sit, be still and ponder.
Have a great weekend!
