Bless Jesus, His holy name
Not because of your fortune or fame
Not because of the free car
Or the last cookie in the jar
Oh, so you won an award?
Let us honor who brought your life forward.
Bless Jesus, His Powerful name
Because you will never be the same
After seeking and believing
Receiving and breathing
His love, His grace
His attention to your face
For He knows how many lashes on your eyes
He crafted the planets in the skies
He has never left you
Even if you didn’t believe His truth
Jesus loves you
Jesus forgives you
Jesus dwells within you

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, children born not of natural descent, not of human decision or a husband’s will, bur born of God (John 1:9-13).
