The Secret Sacred

rainycolor

Rain drops plopped on my hood

My thoughts wandered and grazed with a yearning to be understood

The vast street-puddle

streetpuddle

Caught fast-moving tires … splashed over me

There seems no end to busy

Even amidst the gray dampness … a frenzy

I return to my mind

Where there is no clock, no sense of time

sea

Not when meditating

As His truth continues dissecting

With intention, I leave the left brain-right brain trail

And right there, stopped in the rain beneath the protection of my jacket

Jesus lifts the veil

vineyard

As He has done so many times to help me see, to give me wisdom

So my prayers do avail

The connection to heaven

Is seamless, skyless, dreamless

The life in me is not my own,

It’s the One who atoned

All my wretched things

The One who holds me

rosehold

While His angels sing

These reveals

Could be a thought

Or a stirring in the pot,

The very deep center

Of your soul

Where love transpires

Where Jesus and Holy Spirit conspire

Where passions are fed by His bread

Where visions take shape, the gift of a picture-landscape

His purpose for you lives in this secret sacred place

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:6-7).

  1. So beautiful. He truly does meet with us in the secret sacred space. Thank you for sharing words to encourage pausing, and stillness to hear from Him! Blessings as you listen and walk with Him Dear Friend!
