As you move through your to-do’s
Focus on WHO is working through you
Open your hearts
At the very start
So it is He
The reason
The power
His love hour upon hour
Heavens stream
Seeping its holy meaning
Into your bones
As you roll the dough for the scones
Pause on Jesus whose death atoned
Rejoice with your voice
Sing Hallelujah
As the mailman takes your cards from ya
Oh better than any baked good
Or gravy-topped food
Is the life He laid
Our debt He paid
In unbroken praise
Through pain and malaise
We shall smile and soul-share
The joy we receive as His heir

The goal of faithfulness is not that we will work for God, but that He will be free to do His work through us (Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest).
~~~
It is tricky to remember God does not need us, but that He invites us into His Kingdom work. It is tricky to remember we do not need to strive to please Him, rather open ourselves to be vessels which He fills as we connect with others in His Kingdom. As we empty ourselves, He will fill us again and again.
