What can we learn from the rain?
Pelting the ground
Puddles deepening
Gutters need sweeping
What can we learn from the rain?
Its pitting
Hitting tough spots
Even flooding
What can we learn from the rain?
Is it possible to drown in pain?
Never letting go
Guilt should be done and over
What can we learn from the rain?
Especially the storm
Bare all
With arms open, let the rain come
Let it wash the vain soul stains
The worries, the complains
Living water, free me
Make me clean
So I become Your child, the way You want me
There is so much to learn from the rain
It’s not random
But we can’t fathom
Its purpose
Until we offer
Our lives to Him
In ever trusting abandon
~~~
Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes and showers His righteousness on you (Hosea 10:12).
It has been raining here too the last few days. Beautiful poem! We learn through every single act and creation of God, don’t we? I am involved this month with praying for abused victims and the color is yellow. I haven’t much yellow to wear, so God gave me the dandelion and I have been writing about it every day. Amazing sights to see through His eyes. I’m trying to out it all together and post it at some point. I did post one poem on my sight. That kind of triggered it all. Have a blessed day! I miss hearing your podcasts.
Beautiful thoughts on rain Julie! This stanza especially struck me:
“What can we learn from the rain?
Especially the storm
Bare all
With arms open, let the rain come
Let it wash the vain soul stains
The worries, the complains”
Oh, yes, Lord. Let the rain wash those stains, and let me bare my soul to Jesus’ living water. Thank you for these precious words today, my friend! Blessings to you!
Thank you dear sister. I am rejoicing with you that your hands moved freely to leave this comment. Praying again dear Jesus to move Your power through Bettie so that she may serve You in a mighty way Lord. Always and Forever, Amen
