His sun’s rays
Glint atop the globe
Hope’s light stays
He is the reason Job
Suffered long
Without casting his eyes
Down
Sure why crossed his mind
Yet Job kept looking far
Beyond what his eyes could find
Proclaiming The Only God
Who deserves praise from whispers lowed
Surrender Job chose instead
Seems when seasons change
We find reasons to complain
Too hot
Too cold
I am too young or dreadfully old
Let us seek
Until our cheeks are raw
Our soul’s ajar
Our minds return from far
To align with Him
We release the me with abandon
Only to fall gently into His peace
Where the unknowns
no longer scorn
our hearts ornately adorned
with holy clothes of Christ
Every wound
freed to bleed
receive His spirit
and arise
with worship in our eyes
To Our Savior and Lord
Forever, yes evermore.

At this , Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.
Then he fell to the ground in worship and said,
‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, may the name of the Lord be praised.’
In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing (Job 1:20-22).

I welcome any and all comments for this poem. Job is a hard book in the Bible to read. I have been avoiding going back to it. Yet, it is important one to read as Job’s life was stripped down to nothing, and he remained faithful to His God, Our Father in Heaven.
So what does that mean for us?
Oh, so many thoughts and prayers going up tonight.
