A breeze though warm
Brings His calm
His sun on my cheeks
Composes words to speak
Praise for His power
Even if He won’t lift my struggle this hour
He trains my brain
To see life beyond remains
Praise His power
Laying to rest those He wills
Then raising new in the ashes
Growth in inches
Hearts full of wisdom riches
Praise Him
He who works wonders
As we sleep
He who plants seeds
In deadly blunders
He who heals those
Who believe
Yes, Jesus saves
He pulls you from your grave
It’s too early, not your time
To give up and hide
Faith grows inside
Speak His Name
Sing His praise
Chains will break
Make no mistake
His power reigns
~~~
In God, whose word I praise,
in the Lord, whose word I praise
In God I trust and am not afraid
What can man do to me?
I am under vows to you, my God
I will present my thank offerings to You
For You have delivered me from death
and my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before God
in the light of life (Psalm 56:10-13).
Lovely poem, Julie! I’m your neighbour at Tell His Story today and I was surprised for a moment to see that it was you at a different blog. I’m glad I found your post though. I love the photos too! Time in nature always causes me to remember God’s power and draws me to praise him!
Oh thank you Lesley! In the Spring, I felt God nudge me toward making a blog just for poetry. I obeyed, even though I wondered how I would manage two blogs. Currently, I am on break from the other blog while I prepare to speak at a womens retreat the end of the month. I look forward to reading your posts in general, but I will track down yesterdays💚
Almighty God shows himself mighty through His creation and His Word. I love how you weave the two together! God is big and I am small.
I am doing fine, by His grace. I hope you are doing well and being renewed and saturated with the love of Jesus. Miss your presence, but I know you are in His presence. Much more important.
Thank you Melissa. Still trying to slow down my brain. Missing my Twitter faith family but knowing I need to be still more often. May God bless you with His grace and peace this evening.
Thank you dear Mary! He is worthy, so worthy of our praise. Until I get back to my other blog, I will share poetry with #TellHisStory if that’s ok. Have a blessed Friday 🙂
