Jesus, Take my Worry

My legs are heavy
Pulling weight
I know not its origin

As I prayed for others
My head bowed in chagrin
Trust was draining

Eyes refraining
From the powerful seek
Where HE meets us

Drinking from whose cup?
Not His, my own
Pitiful and overwhelmed

If God is faithful, then He is with all
If God uses pain for the good, then He does for all
If God helps me with depression, then He can for all

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:34).

I move my feet, weight lifting
Stepping into courage
That which to believe

  1. “My legs are heavy”, you described this feeling so well. Just like the book of Psalms, where the Psalmists write with a full range of emotions. Thank you for capturing this range of human feelings, for we must navigate issues of both faith and feelings. Your posts are blessing to that end. Blessings to you!
