The sun glistens
Off every leaf, pine needle, and flower
Teaches her to listen
To the Holy One and His power
Not forced
Or contrived
Not deceived
Or tortured with lies
Rather a knowing
Mysteries revealed
Humbling, lowering
Wisdom over feelings
Seeking
Finding
An unbinding
HIs glory abiding

But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peace-makers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness (James 3:17-18).

Good Morning, Julie,
This is beautiful and shows your heart for listening to God instead of your reaction. There are so many things that happen in a day that provoke an immediate response from us. But you have made a choice to stop, draw away for a while, and wait on God. This is a model for all of us as we seek to live moment by moment in God’s presence.

Thank you dear Connie. I felt your prayers and blessing as I announced my break. Listening to Jesus was intense yesterday, it’s not always. Yet out of it came clear direction. Now if I can just remember to step back when stress in the family rises. He helps if we listen 🙂
