Good Morning, Jesus

A warm cup
Cradled in my palms
As to my soul in the psalms
Creaky hips
Stiff toes
In what I call
My prayer chair

I seek Him there
Look up
Aim my eyes
In the far ceiling corner
A place I assume where spiders gather
Can’t reach even if I stand on the tippy top
Stool step

Raise up names
All whom He knows
I imagine Jesus
Receiving, believing
My hearts longing
To see, really see Him
Trusting not mustering
Deep in my bones
I know I am never alone
There is power
In overcoming
Though not always
On my arthritic knees
I bow
To He who holds my now

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him who is true by being in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:19-20).

Have a blessed Sunday, friends.
