A light is a light
No matter how slight
Smooth grace
In their slow pace
They don’t zip
Like flies on a food trip
No buzzing
As worker bees running
Fireflies linger
Hover longer
They seem unaware of life’s race
To be a pillar in this place
Rather they honor their Creator
Being who they are
Small creatures
With mighty features
Their tiny light
Defeats the darkest dark without a fight
What is your small bright
To give to this hurting world bound by night?

You are the light of the world. A tow built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).
