Rough Water

His living water

I imagine calm

Baptized in peace

calmsea

What if His water is rough?

Washing over

Pulling under

Leading us to surrender

roughsea

Deeply

A letting go

Tossed to and fro

By Jesus

Edifying us

wavecoming

An abyss

Of power

No limits …

No enemy can devour

~~~
I know that the Lord is great,
That our Lord is greater than all gods
The Lord does whatever pleases Him,
In the heavens and on the earth,
In the seas and all their depths.
He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
He sends lightning with the rain
and brings out the wind from His storehouses (Psalm 135:5-7).
Ever have a day (or days) when you couldn’t seem to be free of angst, resentment and such? This weekend was a challenge for me. Still praying about its blessings. As often as I need to, going to His water to surrender allowing myself to be washed clean.
Jesus is waiting for you. If you have any questions about Jesus or how to “find” Him, please feel free to email me at juliedibblespeaks@gmail.com
  1. Hey Julie,
    I love your contrast of wanting calm waters but sometimes being tossed by rough waters. It is true that in the midst of the struggle, we hopefully surrender and find peace and direction later. Love your photos–I assume of your boys! It reminds me of watching my sons in the surf all those summers at the beach–and now they’re grown men.
    Thanks for sharing what God has spoken to you.
      1. Hey Julie,
        Nice looking sons! I know you’re proud of them.
        Thanks for asking about my book. I’m working on revising in response to my editor’s comments. I felt overwhelmed and filled with doubt for a couple of days, then heard an inspiring podcast today about following God’s direction– and now you asking is another encouragement!
        Best to you,
        Connie
