Setting My Heart Right

flowerclosed

Legs are rubber
Hips heavy
Shaking
As I walk steady
Elbow burning
Red bumps

mysky
Eyes yearning
Wishing to open wide
Let the light come inside
It’s rained for days
Why my malaise?

flaglow

Flag hangs low
Birds conversing above
Sun cringes
The fringes of hair on my neck

stripedgrass

He is there
Around every corner
His beauty overcomes me
To think of my past shame
When I never much cared about His bunnies or trees

keys
I had not yet received the kingdom keys
There in my hands and yours
Is Our Father who adores us
Who bestows on us
The care of each other
A prayer call
Sister in need
As I don’t know what the birds are singing

openflower

I type the prayer as my heart raises
My precious sister, grinning
Open like a flower, I say,
To receive His good and perfect gifts
The very reason
I walked to be

mysky2
A house cleaned out
His blood poured out
He could have stayed
After He paid
It all
But with trust in us
His beauty is hope
Our love is His rope
Heaven’s calling
Not stalling
But making a life
New
For me and you
I am sorry for time wasted,
Lord, our flesh makes
Excuses
For Kingdom
Work
Of
Your people, Your church

glory

May we powerfully rise,
Resurrect any and all demise
Let our lives shine
Your glory divine

For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. You are those who have stood by me in my trials. And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Luke 22: 27-29).

It is overwhelming at times. What Jesus expects of us. A whole kingdom. Loving others is not a small task. In fact, its the most important thing we do while on this earth.

Been meditating on how to love better. Seems I go through seasons where I love better than others. Can you relate?

All photos are mine in this post.

This weekend I am choosing to spend time with my family and take a break from social media. I will check comments throughout but do no posting.

Have a blessed weekend.

In Christ,

Julie
