A Moth’s Final Rest

moth

Moths have it right

Perpetual movement to bright

Retreating, hiding

Only to spring forth

In their fervent quest to abandon the night

A final surrender to His intoxicating light

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:17).

Welcome to this poetry blog! Thank you to all the followers so far!

I used my own photo today. Isn’t that moth simply beautiful? I continued my walk after taking the picture, not knowing whether this smart moth lay on the sidewalk for camouflage or whether it had lost its life and lay plainly in His light for all to see.

Have you encountered any nature mysteries lately? I would love to hear.
